Wapping & Limehouse Riverside
The Wapping waterfront has the most authentic riverside pubs in London. The Prospect of Whitby (1520) is the oldest. The Grapes was owned by Gandalf actor Ian McKellen until recently. Lots of cobbles, cold air off the river, fewer tourists than Bankside.
